Set sail for never land as the inspir-ed! kids set the intention to take it all!
We are celebrating a state investigation into the foster care system.
There is NO FEAR IN LOVE, so why make all of these children afraid that they cannot be reunited with their biological parents?
What inspir-ed! kids did during the past four years is separate, but we are free to reunite and give each other an update.
Keep watching the Sunday editorials and stay tuned to google regarding the foster care system to see the updates on the state of Florida's health. www.iamsittingacrossfromgodblog.weebly.com
As summer is approaching I am preparing for tls sports and a life changing summer!
Did you know that the foods that you eat and the movement that you get determines how you feel? How would you feel if you organized the first annual never land run for treasure and Izzy's one mile trail of pixie dust.
This dress up theme is over five years in the making! We need your help to put it together. This summer, we will join together for tls sports.
Several months ago, a student wrote to the Times and shared his boredom with the Florida school system. In fact, he reported that he found it so difficult that he felt suicidal. I am praying that this post reaches him and other middle school and school students in Florida of all ages who are feeling suicidal or homicidal. That means that you may want to hurt yourself or someone else.
I invite you to increase your sports. I invite you to join me over the next two months in training for the St. Anthony's triathlon. Because thoughts of depression are an emotion, and temporary based upon your current circumstances; and these thoughts can often be moved through with exercise. In middle school, I was a terrible student. I was bored and I attended school in NY. I do not remember anything about sixth grade except that I didn't respect my teacher very much. His name I believe was Mr. Hollenbeck. He asked us to write the rules over and over and over again if we didn't follow them.
Today, a sixth grade history class would interest me because I could catch up on all the learning that I missed. I had other teachers including a homeroom teacher and I remember her name as well. Today, I am a teacher. I obtained a Master of Arts degree in adult education from University of South Florida where I studied human resources development and education. In sixth grade, the topics bored me so much, because my LIFE experiences were far greater than US history, at least to me.
The reason I decided to reach out to youth to promote movement is because there is so much more that you can do outside of the classroom to increase your ability to engage in what's taking place in the classroom. So stay tuned!
For increased flexibility, in life, don't worry about someone else "labeling" you or diagnosing you. If you were confident enough to reach out for support in your community newspaper that certainly shows how resourceful you are and how much you are interested in learning about community resources. I spent an over four years studying psychology in both Florida and Buffalo NY graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, and if you combine what I learned in both states, plus working in the field for my entire career, the BEST way to help yourself is to learn as much as you can about preventive healthcare and wellness.
Movement is key! Your body and brain are connected so if you are great at reading, read up on how you can take care of you! Exercise and nutrition is a form of self administered medicine. This doesn't diminish a need for other medication (if prescribed) but in my experience, the effort that I put forth doesn't include side effects which may include feeling suicidal or homicidal, weight gain, depression, skin eruptions, rashes etc..
I sure hope that you are feeling better and by reaching out, you have already landed into a community of caring inspir-ed! kids who are celebrating this New Year's Eve together at the most beautiful resort on Clearwater Beach. Mark your calendars! See you there!
I am so excited about my indoor triathlon training. I hope you had a chance to visit the link on my previous post to learn more about goal setting. If you enjoy getting your body in excellent physical conditioning, then I sure hope you will join me over the next two and one half months as I condition my body and my mind to perform my first triathlon
As with any fun, family, outdoor recreation event, be sure to invite your friends to tri with you. I have already found a few cardio vascular machines which I am using to increase my endurance and muscle strength in my legs, and my glutes. I swim approximately 5 days per week, but the event has given me a reason to combine my biking, swimming and running together for a 2018 challenge.
I designed inspir-ed! active wear for training and if you chose to purchase inspir-ed! active wear from my store you will receive a complimentary goal setting session with me to assist you in event preparation. Stay in-spirit! Elizabeth

We believe in healthy behaviors like training for the upcoming triathlon in April. Join Coach Elizabeth in preparing for the St. Anthony's Meek and Mighty Tri April 28, 2018.
